Flap Check Valve Description

The double hinge Flap Valve is a circular aperture design suitable for use in dirty or sea water applications. Typical installations include outfalls from treatment works and outfalls to rivers or the sea. All Euro TF sizes are double hung to provide added sealing assurance.



Double Hinge Flap Check Valve Feature

  • Tamper-proof austenitic stainless steel hinge pins as standard.
  • Body and flap manufactured from ductile iron.
  • Incorporates flap lifting eye to facilitate opening.
  • Superior welded nickel iron seating face machined to a high quality finish, providing excellent seating characteristics.
  • Lightweight scalloped flange design on sizes DN200 and above provides ease of handling and installation.
  • Single link design for sizes DN80-250 double link design for sizes DN300-600.
  • Suitable for use in sea water applications.
  • Coated in fusion bonded epoxy to BS EN 14901.
  • Suitable for wall or flange mounting.

Service Conditions

  • Potable water, filtered water, sea water, dirty water & sewage.
  • Working pressure 16 bar.
  • Temperature range -10°C to 70°C.

Technical Information
Where the flap valve may be subjected to severe wave action, consideration should be given to shielding the valve to avoid disturbing the seal. The valve should always be mounted above the shingle line.
